Block 14: Marie Renaud Come Dine with Me Canada : Season 4 Episode 66

The five contestants for the week are: mechanic Larry Boccioletti, nicknamed Butch, a barber-shopper who procrastinates; financial advisor Vicky Celestini, whose goal for the week is to win, not to make friends; multiple business owner Minesh Dattani, whose greatest pleasure is knowing that he is only one of three people in Ontario that owns his specific make of sports car; Marie Renaud, a swinging single who has a love/hate relationship with the opposite sex; and trucking company employee Tricia Warren, who is stubborn and a hot head. Marie Renaud is the first to host the dinner party. Her menu consists of spicy pumpkin soup as the appetizer, cabbage rolls with perogies as the main course, and zucchini bread for dessert. Marie admits to being a bit of a mess and disorganized in the kitchen and one who just wings it. She hopes that some last minute decisions concerning all three courses will be inspired in the case of the appetizer, and a save in the cases of the main course and the dessert. The cleanliness issue may disgust one of her clean freak guests. Upon her guests' arrival, the three women initially bond, while they tiptoe around elderly Butch, who admits to being nervous, and Minesh, the latter solely because he perpetrates a ruse for this initial meeting to see how they would react to him as a person. As the party progresses, the focus may turn on Vicky, whose "I'm not here to make friends" attitude comes through. Marie hopes that her hosting skills and party game will shine through the food issues.
